I'm trying to optimize an electric vehicle e structure (battery, motor, etc....), my battery model is on Simulink and the motor's is built using Ansys Maxwell I want to parallel optimize parameters from both models, but I don't know how to connect the two softwares.

I think you can make an interface between the two subsystems such that the output of one subsystem is the input of the other subsystem.
The other solution is to model the whole system on matlab as it is a general modelling platform. You can represent the the Ansys subsystem in matlab as behavioral model.

Do you think that the existing battery Model in Simulink is enough to stimulate your system? As for me, I do think so, I had such a problem during my Ph.D. study. Therefore, the best modeling for the Battery is resistance and this is correct only in a steady-state analysis. In other words, this is can not be applied for transient analysis.
Anyway, with respect to your question, you can write down the needed data from Ansys simulations then inserted them to MATLAB as an array. Then the simulation in simulink can be done through m-file.

For my case i'm using multibranche Resistance-capacity model, which gives good results in steady/transient state.
For your the second part of your answer : i thought about doing that but since i'm doing an optimisation (multiple calculation) i need to send the dat from ansys to Simulink for each itteration of the optimizaiton algorithm , so that's why i'm looking for a way to link Matlab-Ansy to automate this procedure.
I think i found i correct way to do it but im not sure again (i'm trying to put my ansys/Simulink into simplorer)
