I have been using Abaqus 6.10. Now I have upgraded to Abaqus 6.14. When a cae file of the older version is run in the current version, it has converted the file. But to unlock the part, I have right clicked and unlocked. But there is an error saying " The following parts which were database locked failed to regenerate successfully." The part is not getting unlocked.
I have tried changing the file name. But failed.
Could someone help me in unlocking the parts.

I have seen the link you have provided. But it is the general description of locked files.
It is supposed to unlock but I dont know why it fails for certain files, with complex geometry.
Probably, you would have expand the model tree, right click the part (which is locked), and you would get an option to unlock. Worked for me when I had to convert the files from V6.8 to V6.10.
