One of my colleagues has a problem of Spondylolisthesis and the rupture of the spinal isthmus. He is in his early twenties. The doctors have mentioned the following:
1. A decompression (also called a laminectomy)
2. A spine fusion with pedicle screw instrumentation
However, they do not recommend it because he is too young. Are there any other options? The fracture cannot heal on its own because it is misaligned. How can it be aligned in order to promote healing?
