Polyolefins and some other plastics have chemically inert, nonporous surfaces with low surface tensions causing them to be non-receptive to bonding with printing inks, coatings, and adhesives. Surface treatments with corona, flame plasma, and chemical plasma systems make the surfaces reactive enough such that they become receptive to bonding with printing inks, coatings, and adhesives.

Hello Toubal, if your question is related to improve reactivity of a material you need at least 2 things. Micronize the material more possible to improve specific surface, but if you haven't right chemistry you don't obtain best results.

So marble is metamorphic calcium carbonate, is a cristalline material so not reactive at all...if grinded at d50 about 5 microns or lower it could improve its superficial reactivity but in the bulk it will remain unreactive. 

CaO it's very sensible to moisture and water but isn't marble, chemical analisys isn't enough without a well done mineralogy analisys. 

An example of what I'm speaking about could be slag (every type) that is quite inert if its granulometry is too big, but lowering in dimension of grains becomes reactive (artificial pozzolana) and if you push down severely micronization you will arrive at very reactive material...of course as for marble, slag isn't only a sum of oxides, is a sum of amorphous phases that give reactive properties.
