I have a moderated mediation model with a multicategorical IV (4 groups) and I know that Hayes' Process Macro runs regressions so I have to test for assumptions.
- This is done by testing all paths as seperate models in SPSS, correct? (Path a from X to Med, Path b from Med to Y, Path c from X to Y)
But with Categorical IV, usually ANOVA is performed so I am unsure how to test for regression assumptions.
- Do I test for ANOVA assumptions for Path a and Path c, because the predictor is nominal?

The model reports all the paths of the model, if you need to factor the ANOVA type path analysis for each category of the IV, it is recommended that you use the free program JAMOVI (similar to SPSS), which allows this, it is even possible to retain in the model the significant moderating effects.
