If a conference has [published] proceedings does this make it de-facto 'worthy' or more worthy than other conferences? Some calls for conferences say that there are initial agreements with journal(s) to publish papers presented. Is this actual work or is it stated in the call to attract participants? I came across this indication in a call "Presenters [...] may submit their written papers for journal publication consideration in the printed, peer-reviewed xxxx journal". What does this really mean?
