i want to take permission to use some figures and tables for a review article. So please guide me how to take permission and how it will be confirmed that i have been permitted for any stuff to use. I have attached a snapshot of tab after filling the form in rights and permission of ACS journal. Is it confirmation of permission or not?
Go to the web page where the article was published or to the web page of the publisher and you will a link under the name "permission", just complete all fields and permission will be granted freely. At the legend of the table/figures you should include a text such as "reproduced with permission of xxxxx".
Go to the following link and follow instructions. You will receive answer within a couple of days: https://www.pls.org.uk/
You will need to scroll down a little until you see the heading straightforward permissions with PLSclear and then follow the instructions

Anna, I'm sorry but the information you provided applies to UK and should be different if you would like to reproduce materials published in journals outside UK
The PLS database has over 50million publications in English language inclusive of those from outside the UK but not all all overseas requests can be faciliated by PLS. It is a very efficient and fast system. I have tried both ways and if the work is faciliated by PLS it is best to get it from them.
