Covid infections as of today can be dependent variable. Prevalence of TB or Malaria (per 10000 population) in all countries can be independent variable. The problem is a majority of countries have Covid but zero TB or Malaria. Correlation turns out to be positive at p 0.05 . What could be wrong in my design of study?
Align all the characteristics and symptoms of three then find the similarities and the dissimilarities. Same as at the molecular level.

If you’re to do comparative analysis of Covid-19, malaria and tuberculosis, you should target the population that have all the 3 variable in its population.
The objective is to find if the countries reporting Covid will have less (or more) Covid if a country has history of TB. For example, if correlation is high (0.7) and positive at P
Hi Rakesh, your study is very interesting. But I think you might need to know clearly about your data sources and whether they can support your study hypothesis effectively. I thought your covid-19 data were basically from case reporting, which not only reflected the epidemics of covid-19 but also depended on the ability of nucleic acid testing and case detection. However, TB data might be based the epidemic estimates which only represented TB epidemics or disease burden of those countries. If so, the two might not be comparable.
Secondly, whether you include the countries with zero TB, you should both consider the statistical principle and practical meaning of your results. I'm not sure what kind of correlation you used, so suggest you to refer to the statistical book and see if your data met the use condition. If met, then you could consider whether the results of including and excluding zero TB countries are the same. If not, think about the differences and which one is more feasible.
