You can use a factorial approach specifically a 3×2 factorial in a completely randomized design
My main worry in just comparing the data from three groups would be, that other factors than the experimental one might have been different between those groups. To name a few: ratio males/females, temperature, light intensity etc. These other factors might obscure the real difference (if existent) between the treatments or cause a difference not due to the treatment.
Dear Kees, Thank you for your assistance and valuable views. To clear some points, environmental factors 'other than males/females ratio' were the same between the groups.
You can plott graphs for each group ant try to compare these. E.g. you may approximate these with some appropriate function and to compare the coefficients.
