Using an ethnic orientation questionnaire, I was able to measure the ethnic orientation scores of 400 participants. The mean scores range from 0.11 to 2.00. I want to divide these scores into HIGH and low scores. Which statistical test(s) I should use to decide where exactly in the whole ethnic orientation continuum do LOW orientation scores end and shade off to HIGH ethnic orientation scores? said differently, how can I split these 400 participants into those with High and low ethnic scores? does Cronbach's Alpha test help? thank you.
