I have been trying to do a 2-way coupled fluid-structural interaction analysis to find the aeroelastic deformation of a rocket in flight.
My structural and fluid flow analyses work independently and I am able to perform a 1-way FSI on the bodies using the fluid-solid interface tool. However when I try to run it as a 2-way coupled analysis the progress bar says "launching coupling service" and I get the error:
"(DP 0) Update of the Solution component in system coupling failed: The system coupling service failed to start."
Unfortunately it fails before it write the logging files so I can't use that to help me.
Has anyone had this issue before and knows how to fix it?
The Ansys workbench error messages when working with DesignXplorer have always been very unhelpful. One trick that has worked for me on several occasions in the past is just switching to a newer version of Workbench. You can also try older versions but you might have to do things from scratch as backward compatibility is not present in Workbench. Hope it helps.
