The protection of optical resource in case failure is very difficult, especially during the traffic transfer. The failure can be done over the used lightpath which includes a set of wavelengths and fiber delay lines. The problem consists in reducing the traffic loss by using a pre-established or dynamic lightpath.

You document gives a solution for only resource utilization but not for QoS provision, especially for various traffic requirements. Assuring resource optimization and dynamic QoS support is new concept over the optical label switched networks that must be treated jointly.
