Your problem is not precisely defined. You can either design a solar cell for which you have a physical structure and you have to optimize the solar cell structure to get the highest photo conversion efficiency.

You can solve this problem by using solar cell device simulator such as the software called SCPAS or SILVCO TCAD device simulator.

You can also use empirical approach together with approximate analytical solution to get good working solar cell.

In case of designing solar cells modules you can use the SPICE model as you hinted. You can analyse the module by substituting every cell by its equivalent circuit. I was of the first researchers who developed spice models for solar cells.

Spice models can be also to analyse large scale array of solar cell. Such array is called photovoltaic generator. One can analyse also the controller circuits and power conditioning circuits using SPICE. So, SPICE can be considered as an effective and comprehensive platform to solve the whle system of the PV generators including the power conditioning circuits.

You can also use SPICE to study the distributed nature of the solar cells.

Thank U very much sir for your valuable answer. Actually I want to add an extra layer of p & n type of semiconductor at the bottom surface of the conventional solar cell. With defind connection (like an thermocouple module) which should extract the heat from the bottom surface and convert it to electricity. I want to see how much the overall performance of the solar cell increases or decreases? Can you suggest me the perfect tool to simulate this?
