I'm trying to simulate Electromagnetic Faraday in COMSOL 5.3. For 2D geometry a model is given by COMSOL http://www.comsol.com/model/voltage-induced-in-a-coil-by-moving-magnet-14163
I tried to simulate such system in 3D geometry but failed in different attempts. I tried the same physics as the model, then I tried solid mechanics by adding a cantilever with magnetic mass. after many tries, i succeeded in vibrating the structure with the magnet but magnetic field didn't move with it. My first guess was that when calculating time dependent study, COMSOL didn't take in consideration the air domain but i have no clue how to fix this.

For the first attempt i used moving mesh as the 2D proposed model by COMSOL. when i used the vibrating structure, i used mechanic solid without including the air domain.

unfortunately, i had to use many tests so some simulation was not saved. but in most cases the error was "failed to find initial values".
