I've been struggling with finding a scoring method for the chronic stress scale. Has anyone used or come accros the measure? I would be grateful for any help.
The PDF that you attached and Beatrice is the same.
From this file, it is clear that there are 28 items on Likert scale, scored on 5 steps then abbreviated into 3 {not true = 0; somewhat true = 1; very true = 2}
The other 23 items are dichotomous and scored 0 for not true and 1 for somewhat true and very true.
To be consistent, it seems the first part you can make it as 0 & 1 scores similar to the dichotomous one. Then you will have a total range of scores for the 51 items in the scale, which will range from 0 to 51. With higher scores means more stress.
