How to restrict degradation of 1,2-diamine formed from 1,2-nitro amino on aromatic by pd/c reduction in MeOH degradation observed during filtration ?
Filter it under an inert atmosphere. The 1,2 aromatic diamines are prone to oxidation by air. It may also benefit from the addition of ammonia to your reaction mixture.
Are you using hydrogen or doing a transfer hydrogenation with your Pd/C?
It may be worth changing your reduction method as the intermediate 2-nitrosylamine may give you problems.

It's very true that it degrade due to 1,2-diamine aromatic system. I am using hydrogen gas and not hydrogen transfer.
One more condition is that doing reduction with Zn/NH4Cl may this maintain ammonia as buffer through out reaction
If you have sodium borohydride in the reaction it can prevent the degradation, it might also acculturate the reduction.
