In ResearchGate (but also on other platforms), the identification of citations is often not complete. There is an automated algorithm for identifying citations, but this is far from being perfect. See also these related discussions about missing citations:

Thank you for the interesting question.
My answer is in sync with Wolfgang R. Dick .No research platform has the complete list of citations of an author.
I am sharing an example from my country (India). Majority of Indians associated with research, teaching and education have no idea about the research platforms. So, they do not upload their works in such platforms. So, their works do not at all get counted in these platforms.
