hello! I have no practical experience with this issue , I began recently in this area (wells) . About the precipitation of sulfur must be problems related to the same saturation pressure and the presence of agents that promote precipitation and subsequent deposition .
There US patent US4633949 , which proposes a pH control method and the presence of reducing iron complexing agents with the EDTA base. I hope this helps , and sorry my English .

It is a very good question actually. It has multiple effects on the production and not only by blocking pore throats (damage skin). It affects gas relative permeability/the wettability of the near-wellbore region in addition to blocking the pore throats.
So, there are two factors that affect the production rate due to deposition/precipitation of sulfur.

If deposition occurred in the producing well, injection of solvent may help removing the deposited sulfur. There are two type of solvents can be used; chemical (amin-based) and physical (hydrocarbon). Uptake capacity of solvents is a function of temperature; the higher temperature, the higher uptake.
