The supercapacitor we made out of electrospun membrane has high voltage of about 2.6 volt, but it discharge so fast, with in few seconds. so we are unable to glow LED using the supercapacitor. we used brush coating method to prepare electrode.should we use different coating technique .........
If it is self discharging very fast means either the capacitance is very low or the material has high resistance. what electrode and electrolyte system are you using. Try to glow LED with a conventional system first such as Activated carbon electrode prepared in Ni foam or Al current collector with 6 M KoH or 1M TEATBF in acetonitrile electrolyte

are you using as such electrospun membrane or you are powdering it to make electrode?
please send me the procedure you are using to make the electrode
Try holding it at the operating voltage and allow the system to come to equilibrium.
The leakage could be internal. We have some interesting unpublished data on eliminating self-discharge. It is unpublished because we no not understand the mechanism. I don't know how to post graphs onto this chat page.

Can you explain the details of the experiments. Current collector, electrode material, electrolyte, separator etc as all this can effect the proeprties
From which kind the substrate materials or current collector and how much the mass of electrode and the thin of layer ?beacuse Its important to protect self discharge
