My feedstock powder is water atomized Sn with a diameter range from 10-100 um.
After the cold spray processing, the EBSD maps can be obtained. Because my smallest powder is 10um, which means it is hard to recognize the crystallized grains from the original grain. How to verify the crystallization happen or not?
Take a a drop of the liquid containing compd. on the watch glass & rub it with glass rod , When the solvent evaporates , the crystals of compd. are seen on the watch glass . This indicates that the crystallization has occurred

If you the coating separate from substrate (scrapes off), shred and examine using X-ray diffraction analysis, then you can distinguish whether your coating is amorphous (no clear peaks) or crystalline (pronounced peaks).
Of course, you can directly examine the spray powder using X-ray diffraction to see whether the powder is crystalline.
