Simplifying reality by ranking big umbrella concepts doesn't bring us any further IMO. All those factors interact, all those factors are important. The manner in which they are enacted is crucial. And each context has different requirements and challenges. Sorry for not really answering your question, but I just wanted to add another viewpoint. Good luck!
I utterly agree with the sequential flow of the terms in properly achieving the set goals of an organization shown by Prof. Selvam. Best regards my brother.
Organizational success is defined as the extent to which primary goals of an organization have been accomplished. Below is how I prioritize:
Rank 1: Performance: this includes the relevant behaviour and results needed for accomplishment of the primary goals of the organization. This is considered as the major independent variable that influences organizational success.
Rank 2: Leadership: this includes the function of influencing a group of people individually and collectively by a certain person toward the achievement of certain goals. Here I consider certain goals as performance targets. This is essential for realizing the expected performance towards accomplishing organizational success.Leadership is the driver of organizational learning and then innovation.
Rank 3: Organizational Learning: this includes the process of creating, maintaining and transferring knowledge within the organization. This is lead by leadership. Also it is possible to argue that innovation is made possible owing to sound organizational learning. Hence, organizational learning causes innovation.
Rank 4: Innovation: this includes the process of translating a new idea into a good or service that is useful for customers and stakeholders. It is possible to argue that innovation is increased and shaped by organizational learning to a significant extent.
My current project is about Critical Factors of HRM and firm-performance in Construction Context
So I carried out a literature review as well as Interviewed industry experts/professionals to find out what HRM factors (not HR practices) are critical for the Construction Project Success (CPS). I found 8 factors are critically important. They are Human Capital (HRC), OCB, Employer Brand (EB), Organizational Learning (OL), Team Integration (TI), Transformational Leadership (TL) and Organizational Communication (OC) and Organizational Structure (OS)
What I understood is that prioritizing of the factors are depended on different context/industry etc. This could be well explained using contingency theory. These factors may not be critical in the same order in other context.
Therefore, I asked them to conceptualize the relationships of these factors to Construction Project Success. This gave me an interesting picture which I would like to share it is available in my link . That could be explained with couple of theories
Organizational learning can be labeled “[…] as a field toward to the study of cognitive and social processes of knowledge in organizations that are imbricated in organizational and work practices” (Boff & Antonello, 2011, p. 184).
