I'm using stainless steel mesh as an anode electrode in my microbial fuel cell. I run the MFC for 2 weeks. My issue is, when I'm reusing the same electrode for a new batch of MFC, the current recorded was very low. I'm sure the problem is the electrode because, when I replace it with a new electrode, the current started to increase. Is it because I'm not washing the electrode properly before reusing it? If yes, how can I wash it so I can reuse it?
