We all know that ecosystem services are categorised to four types: supporting, regulating, provisioning and cultural. For a certain protected area, there is a trade-off between getting products from ecosystems (e.g. provisioning) and the long-term ecosystem integrity (e.g. supporting). At the same time, these four types of services have different spatial scope, e.g. carbon sequestration can benefit global community and clean water reaches to local people. Accordingly, people at different areas also have diverse demand towards a certain PA. Therefore, when identify conservation objects in a PA, how to prioritise a certain or a bundle of ecosystem services to avoid excessive emphasis on short-term ecosystem services, and to satisfy different beneficiaries? Is there any standard procedure of assessing both supply and demand of ecosystem services?
