I'm making PVP nanofiber by disolving ethanol but it decays after 1-2 days. please suggest other than covering aluminum foil and keeping in parafilm box...
Can you store/dry them a least overnight in a vacuum oven? Having remains of ethanol in your fibers will re-dissolve the fibers.
Storage: keep them away from any humidity, so check for desiccators; with vacuum option or desiccants.
It is difficult to store the PVP nanofibers because PVP is hygroscopic in nature.
If you blend familiar polymer (PVA) with PVP and fabricate the nanofibers than it may be storage difficulties are diminished.
Or second one is that try to coat the nanogibers with other water soluble polymers through coaxial electrospinning method.

PVP is highly hydrophilic, it absorbs water from atmosphere that's y it looses its nanfibrous structure and becomes a gelly film.
1. First option is you can blend PVP to some other polymer
2. If u using PVP to prepare nanorods then calcinate the nanofibers as soon as u complete the spinning process.
