Maceration was carried out by HCl and Hydrogen peroxide.
You can use formaldehyde solution by adding 5-10 drops as preservative. It will preserve the samples for up to a period of 3-6 months and try keeping the maceral in cold place so that they wont dry and you reuse them for slide preparation again.
