This was found in shallow water (deltaic) deposits of late Cretaceous age - middle Campanian (central Poland, Europe).
On the left there is an imprint of a tree, but the most interesting structures are encircled by red lines. Additionally there are some "double hollows" marked by blue.
Do you have any proposition what is this?

The sample is coralline limestone with fossils of solitary rugose corals. They are turned upside down. The holes are the position of columella and should be turned up. They are corals.

On the left this is no "imprint of a tree", rather the external cast of a piece of decorticated wood
