Maps can be used as a communication tool. It can visualize discrepancies in data among many others. But for a map to be used as an efficient communication tool, the map designer has to choose colors that can allow a map reader to clearly see discrepancies in the data. But then, it is not necessarily easy for one to choose colors that can intuitively communicate the desirable information from geographical data in a manner that a reader can easily capture the message visualized in a map. For this, i am really pleased to learn from others on how you make color choices for your map to be as informative as possible. Thanks in advance.
