It is easy to plot a ternary phase diagram of elements. But I don't see any tutorials plotting ternary phase diagram for compounds/alloys/ceramics like (SiC-ZrB2-ZrC).
If anyone knows about this, please comment.

I know that you can plot a ternary phase diagram into a binary by fixing the composition in the system definer module, and selecting the option of phase diagram in the equilibrium calculator module, such that you will a binary phase diagram of a compound as a function of an independent element pecent. However, for a ternary system, I haven't tried before, because you need to make sure if of a given temperature SiC-ZrB2-ZrC are in equilibrium (in the case of the isothermal section).

You can perform this calculation using the console mode of TC. Try this exemple at 600°C. I hope that it works.
Be careful, may be that the tielines are not in the plane of the calculations.

I asked to ThermoCal support. They said it's not possible with ThermoCalc. I am not sure if your methods will work because there is no database that has all the elements Zr B Si and C.

I have tried the proposal of Gossé Stéphane and it worked with the TCFE11 database (it contains the four elements you mentioned).
I have a question for Gossé Stéphane : is it possible to use two databases for one simulation?
Yes it is !
You have to use the command : append_database in Thermocalc.
For example : In the system A-B, you take the solid & liquid phases definitions in TDB1 and the gas phase definition in SSUB5...

Dear All,
It's not possible to even make a binary phase diagram of ZrB2-SiC in thermoCal since they do not have all 4 elements in 1 module.
To draw the binary ZrB2-SiC, you have to use to command : define-components
Some databases including these 4 elements exist.

Thank you Gossé Stéphane. I am using factSage now though. But I tried making this with ThermoCAL and their support told me that, it's not possible.
