Sydnones are mesoionic compounds having a five-membered pseudo-aromatic heterocyclic ring named as 1,2,3-oxadiazole bearing an enolate-type exocyclic oxygen at C5. Usually they bear a substituted phenyl ring at N3. Any difference in TLC procedures for 3-(4-nitrophenyl)sydnone, 3-(4-methlyphenyl)sydnone, 3-(4-chlorophenyl)sydnone?

You can try recrystalization from ethanol. As far as I feel there should be no difference as sydnones are quite stable compounds. It should work with methylene chloride as eluent. (I am not expert in this)

Try doing with ethylacetate:benzene (1.5:8.5) with silica plates
