Hi,

As easiest thing I would suggest plotting the imaginary part of the impedance over the logarithmic frequency. This diagram looks similar to the phase angle but is independent from the ohmic resistance.

Another option would be to simply subtract the ohmic resistance from the real part of the impedance; by excel, for example.

Last, there is a more advanced technque that can help to visualize the processes in impedance spectra, the distribution of relaxation times (DRT). See attached papers.

Dear Sai,

I agree with Dino. I would like to add: don't stick just to one type of analysis in EIS. The various presentations give each a different look at your data. When a CNLS-analysis is possible it will provide more insight. But sometimes a proper model is lacking. There are several strategies to come to a model. Finding a DFRT (distribution function of relaxation times) is one method, but it is not entirely reliable. There is a nice MatLab routine available from the Ciucci group that uses Tikhonov regularization: https://sites.google.com/site/drttools/

It is a user friendly program!
