It is useful prior to any pilot (or any) study to have a clear idea of the questions that you want addressed by the study. Was your question (or questions) whether the questionnaire was fair, valid, reliable, or something else?
Normally, the analysis of the pilot study is the same measurement method with the main study, i mean your analysis method. so whatever measurement analysis you will use in your main study, use for pilot study too PLUS validity and reliability is required for the pilot study to prove that your test is both valid and reliable so to be applied for the main study.
Thanks for answering Dr Daniel Wright and Dr Seyed Saber Alavi , my purpose is to make sure the students understand each part of questionnaire, and to determine the reliability and construct validity of the questionnaire..
So how I will know if the student understand or not and if should me to continue with study or stop ?
You can ask the students afterwards what they thought the questions were asking. Another popular technique is to have people "think-aloud" while they are answering the questions. Lots of survey labs do this.
