Kindly suggest some way/technique to obtain plots/graphs for any quantity whose values can both be real and imaginary(i.e, complex). I am using MATLAB.
The quantity I wish to plot has many complex values too. So, how should I obtain a plot for those?
Treat a single complex quantity q as two real ones: Re(q), Im(q) and you have not really a new situation. Many real-valued quantities may be represented as many curves (different colors, say) in a single diagram.
You mean, I should plot the real part and imaginary part separately, i.e. as two graphs in a single diagram?

You can use any plot function in Matlab regardless the dimensions (and types) you have. E.g., use a command as
plot(real(G),imag(G))
this is when your vector (G) has both real values (on x-axis) and imaginary (on y-axis). This can also plot real vs. imaginary values for each element in the matrix (or multi-dimensional array) G.
