I'm going to describe new cercaria (digenean larva) which likely belongs to already described species. However, I don't know to which species it belongs. Should I give it a temporary name (i.e. Cercaria zenkevitchi) or rather refer to it as "cercaria Brachycladiidae gen. sp. 1" or "Brachycladiid cercaria A"?

In my opinion, Cercaria zenkevitchi would be more convenient and this name will not compete in priority with name assigned to sexual adult (according to nomenclature code).

Nevertheless, usage of collective group names like "Cercaria" isn't quite popular in recent publications.

Maybe there's some rule that limits the usage of such names?
