Dedicated and responsible faculty towards their teaching and research  always visit Library. the Problem is with those who are accidental professional or those who find themselves in a position do research and teaching without any help. The later category of the faculty are few the majority are of the first type.The administration must be strict towards the  research and community services by the faculty members for the promotion.Everything will automatically be fixed. Library should also provide all those high impact factor journals free to the faculty then  it may improve the faculty visit.

In this era when everything is available in office on laptops it is hard to motivate teachers to use library sources though it does not mean that importance of library has lost. Library staff may regularly visit teachers to motivate, inform and teach them how to use resources of library. Focus should be more on Post graduate trainees and students. Because it is habit and it should be developed from very early carrier.

it can be done by many ways including making libraries high tech, making it open excess, welcoming staff and popularizing new titles and regular arrivals. Internet sources are not always valid and reliable, whereas library sources are good at both. This fact should be brought in to awareness of faculty.

You can encourage them to set-up a book club that requires them to access related pedagogical books from the library. Every week for one hour, a teacher would choose a chapter from the book and present to the rest of the group either F2F or online followed by a discussion. In this way, they would be motivated to access the current materials and engage in the discussion with their peers in deepening knowledge in their content area. If they plan to have the sessions asynchronously online over the duration of a week instead of an hour, then creating a social presence would be important to keep the group motivate, so the attached can help in this regard.

Here are distinctly two teachers groups: the first group consists of those who are more dedicated to teaching, research work and little in the University extension; and the second group consists of those only teaching. This last group are mostly in the private university. However, using the library has been increasingly less since we have the research resources made available over the Internet

If you have used very banks available on the world wide internet. However we have encouraged the use of libraries because for a long time was our collection available, and neither Our entire humanity's production is online.

If you can provide good working material for teachers and they distributed among their students would be very useful. That is, teachers find good information in libraries that help us to develop better curriculum for our classes and also activities and different resources for engage students in class, definitely we going to feeling so much motivation for access library resources. Also we can include in our syllabus the different resources where students can find information for do their assignments and also they feeling motivate to looking information in there.

I find that electronic resources are more accessible. Another tip is regularly updating them on what you have, you could also find out the topics they are covering and put together a ready reckoner/guide of what is available, send it out.

Our library at the University of Central Missouri has all kinds of amazing things that can enhance instruction. Journal articles can be accessed through the library website and uploaded into your blackboard space for reading assignments. They will place books on reading reserve for your classes. They have films on demand that can either be uploaded into blackboard or accessed by individual students. There is a computer lab that professors can use to hold study groups or have classes in that involve group computer exercises. They even have a coffee shop where students can gather and study. The usage of breakout room for group projects is always helpful. If they do not have a book, they are quick to get it on inter-library loan. I am in the criminal justice department and we make extensive use of the library.

In Portugal, we have a scientific repository of open access in Portugal (RCAAP) with scientific papers, master's theses and doctoral of all portuguese universities and the polytechnics.

In My University, Research publication is a compulsory criteria for continuation in job. if every university does so, then it will force the faculty member to go to on-line material provided by the library to access and get benefit from. It will also force the faculty to refer some new books to update themselves for the career development.These all depends if the library provide the above mentioned facilities.

Reyaz is right as we all know. For tenure track faculty it really is "Publish or Perish!" For those professors access to a good library and adequate research materials is essential just to maintain our job. Tenure is hard won. Now that I'm a full professor, we tell the new hires to research and publish early. That three year review will roll up before you know it.

Give them incentives for developing instructional materials and publishing research papers that will surely require doing library works.
