Hello,I managed to synthesize the Au nanotruangles and dispersed it in aqueous solution. Then i added 1mL 2mM organic solution dispersed in DCM to 2mL AuNTS solution.But after magnetic stirring for only half an hour, all the nano gold precipitated. I wonder what should do in order to modify the organics onto the nanoparticles by terminal alkynyl groups.

You have synthesized core/shell nanoparticles, but do not write that you have an Au shell or carbon. If the role of the shell is played by gold, then it can be coated with alkenyl mercaptan. For example, such a structure is CH triple bond CH CH2-SH. If the role of the shell is performed by carbon, then it is necessary to oxidize the carbon surface. On the surface there will be a mixture of alcohol, aldehyde, ketone, carboxyl groups.
