Graphene reinforced composite is a particulate-reinforced composite, that you can simulate this by Ansys through following steps:

1. Give the Analysis a Title

2. Set Measurement Unites

3. Define the Element Type (you can define more than one element for different parts of the Model)

4. Define Material Properties (for this composite you must define Two Materials: as graphene and other)

5. Create the Composite geometry (Main Menu-Preprocessor-Modeling-create...):

• Main Menu/prep/Modeling/Create/volume/sphere: create for example 4 spheres as the reinforcements
• Main Menu/Modeling/Create/volume/block: create for example one block which covers aforementioned spheres, as continuous phase. 
• Partition all the volumes (this is necessary): main/prep/modeling/boolean/partition/volume/pick all
• Glue all the volumes : Main menu/modeling/operate/Boolean/glue/volumes/pick all
• Mesh each volume by different Material properties: Main menu/preprocessor/Meshing/mesh tools/then adjust size and click mesh then select layers for Mesh One by One.
• After Meshing the Model, Its ready for defining Boundary conditions that are necessary for Solving the Model by FE analyzer.

you either use RVE for discontinuous and/or periodic composite, or use laminar theory if the graphene is continuous layer (i.e. model it as a lamina in a composite shell element such as SOLSH. The RVE would require multi-scale modelling and it is only useful if you want to get properties of the composite as a function of graphene configuration. If you want to use it in a structure, you need to homogenize it from an RVE analysis or use composite shell element with laminar data.
