Geometry: Model as a 3D or 2D axisymmetric cylindrical part. Use two layers if coating is explicit: core (BFRP) and outer shell (sand coating). Material: BFRP: Define elastic properties and use Hashin or maximum stress failure criteria. Sand coating: Define elastic or cohesive material with low stiffness and damage behavior. Interaction: Use Tie constraint or Cohesive Interaction between core and coating to simulate bonding. Mesh: Use fine mesh, especially for coating and interface. Boundary Conditions: Fix one end, apply displacement at the other end (tension). Step: Use Static General with NLGEOM=ON. Output: Request stress, strain, and damage variables.
