I need to model in Ansys fluent a viscoelastic fluid that responds to the viscosity model of he Phan-Thien-Tanner
Dear Daniel,
I suggest you can use the ansys Polyflow solver to model the viscoelastic fluids as the PTT model is included in that solver.
I think this model absent in Fluent. But you can try to include your model over UDF.

Dahang owen Tang Does Polyflow offer me the option to model a single flow using PTT?
Yes, it does.
Some sources say it is treated as Newtonian as ethylene glycol has a higher viscosity than water, which affects the flow characteristics in simulations. But some also say it is non-Newtonian.

In terms of CFD, we often analyze the stability of the error using Von-Neumann analysis, especially for FDM based problems. Should we follow the same approach for a compressible fluid flow using FVM ?
