Hi, I'm trying to model geogrids on a soil in the software OPTUM to see its effect on reducing the immediate settlement of a foundation. I'm using 2D 15-node triangular elements for the soil and 1D elements for the geogrid, as you can see in the image attached.

In the image you can see that the geogrid deforms with the soil, but it's not making much difference on the settlement (the foundation settlement is approximately the same with and without the geogrid). Also, I don't know how to see the forces and stresses on the geogrid.

I tried increasing the modulus of elasticity and area of the geogrid (the EA product in the software) and it doesn't change anything, which is weird.
