Is it possible to measure the concentration of 2nm gold nanoparticles with a concentration of 0.001% knowing that the UV absorbance of such nanoparticles is very low.
Increase the concentration of AuNр by evaporation of water under vacuum. Measure the amount of evaporated water. Determine the concentration in a more concentrated dispersion. Calculate the concentration in the diluted dispersion.
I wonder if you could do it using Maxwell-Garnett effective medium theory after determining the optical propoerties of the solution, by ellipsometry for example.
If you know the average size of the particles, take a sample and oxidize it; quantify gold concentration using ICP and then go backwards use gold density and size of the particles.
