Some articles published a long time ago proposed several ways to estimate the center of gravity using the center of pressure collected from the forceplate [Shimba 1982, Benda 1994, and Caron 1997]. Is there any available tool (matlab, python or any other codes) to do this?
Dear Sanghee Moon We are practicing mechanical Gravity for three centuries, but unfortunately to my knowledge, gravity is not mechanical phenomenon to find the center of gravity. Everything must have origination, and gravity has origination, and that is Quantum Mechanics Gravity. Gravity is Internal not external, this article is unprecedented, but it is easy to understand.

I think [Takeshi Shimba 1982] had the right argument; Since the force platform data and other mechanical parameters are related to each other three dimensionally, all three components of resultant force and torque should be measured for analyzing overall characteristics of human motion.

The GRF (Ground Reaction Force) recorded with a force plate on one leg during stance phase has three components acting in directions: Fx–mediolateral, Fy_anteroposterior, and Fz–vertical. A custom-written MATLAB script was used for gait analysis in this study. This software displays instantaneous force data for both legs as Fx(t), Fy(t) and Fz(t) curves, automatically determines the extremes of functions and sets the visual markers defining the individual points of interest.
