How to measure porosity of metallic iron mixed phosphate composite coating on steel substrate?

I have done electrochemical method of phosphate coating on steel substrate.. in that coating i have metallic iron and phosphate coating. now i need to measure the porosity present in the coating. based on the principle when measuring porosity by using copper deposition method. their is possibility for copper plated over the coated iron, using ferroxyl indicator test also the same problem and electrochemical methods also having similar kind of situation. Now please suggest me how to measure the porosity present in steel substrate with iron mixed phosphate coatings..
