There are many literature that disscuss the lean production system to operational performance. However, I find a lack of literature that investigate Lean Production and Individual Performance.
Interestingly, lean production system is derived from Toyota Production System, which discuss the human factors as the most important things. Thus, this question remained in my mind and I want to see if there is any correlation between Lean Production and Individual Performance (Related to human factor).
I am really appreciate if you can give me a slight enlighment regarding this question.

Lean is more geared towards operation but that is not to say that you cant adapt Lean to individual performance. But, do you mean individual performance in terms of measuring how effective an individual has been at implementing Lean within an operational environment or do you mean how can you apply Lean philosophy to an individual in a company. I think the focus investigation on the individual performance depends on the type of manufacturing or production. The specific type of production has a unique approach to measure the metrics of individual performance, including human factor; e.g. the efficiency of labour to absorb updates from the management.

it can be meaured based on individual contribution, i.e. how many suggestions made by each workers after implementing lean system, and what arr the adopt rate.
