I have a problem how to determine capacity of drainage pumps. There are very big pipelines with 800 mm diameter. I need this measurement in real time of operation. The main problem is that there are no place on pipes where could I assemble flow meter. Besides pumps are submersible. Is there any indirect ways to define flow in this pumps. I need to know how change characteristic of the pump system during their operation. I think about controling electricity consumption and measure geodetic head. Will this method be sufficient?

Welcome, Peter! The problem is that mentioned pipes are used in land reclamation pumping stations where there in no sufficient place to assembly this flowmeter. Besides, e.g. by 800 mm diameter, the thickness of pipe is considerable...
Dear Peter, I know that the size of the flowmeter sensors are wery small. But I mean about of problem to measure real flow without any noises. As i said before the distance between the valve and elbow is too close.
