My collaborators and I are performing a systematic review with meta-analysis on the effectiveness of nonpharmacologic methods for procedural pain control in pediatric emergency rooms. We found that some RCTs evaluate pain during the procedure, some after the procedure, and some both during and after. Some of us would be of the idea of producing two meta-analyses, one including only the assessments performed during the procedure, the other with only the assessments performed after the procedure was completed. Others think of generating a single meta-analysis. We would like your help in making a decision. We thank you in advance.
