I don't see any hurry to treat such arrhythmia! You have to look for the cause, like infections, emotional issues, anemia, cancer or whatever and then treat it. Such thing can be treated with vagal maneuvers if it annoys the patient and he/she don't have any other heart disease.
If there is some valve disease or ischemia, then the patient will require beta-blockers and a ACE inhibitor, depending of the co-morbidity.
Agree, if the patient is not decompensating or suffering from it the you may just observe for a while. Make sure the patient is not caffeine overdose or some other herb usage that contains haert stimulant.
