Good day
I would like to know how to make standard solutions of magnesium, phosphorus, calcium and potassium for ICP-OES.
or is it better to just buy the ready-made ones instead?
Thanks.
Many people now buy their reference quality standard solutions even if they prepare solutions from solid KCl for K and KH2PO4 for P. These salts can readily be dried before weighing. Mg salts are more problematic because of hydration.
You will also need a reference sample of agreed composition for the tests that you intend to do.
