Hello Everyone, I am trying to make 3 type of SnO2 + TiO2 Nano composite paste by adding PEG and IPA/ACETONE/Ethanol. But the problem is when I am taking out the paste it is drying instantly. and the layer is not good in attaching with the substrate and the sno2+tiO2 is not equally distributed everywhere. I am using grinding method to make the paste. Any suggestion to make the paste only by those material??? A lot thanks in advance.

You can use another precursor for TiO2 & SnO2 e.g. TiCl4, Ti(OPri)4, SnCl2 etc. These precursor easiliy hydrolyze to make sol using the above said solents and additives (PEG, IPA & aetone). This method ensure proper distribution of TiO2 and SnO2.

The problem might be the mixing, due to the large surface of nanomaterial, mixing is tend to be way harder. Do you have a mixer of any kind? If you need to prepare a lot of samples, a solder paste mixer might be a good choice even you are not dealing with solder material. The solder paste mixer is generally for the purpose to mix powder and liquid or gel to form paste, I have tried it with nanoparticles. It is very helpful.

You have to mix some solvents and a polymer as a binder. Then you can add the nanoparticle powder gently. Solvents, as well as powder binder, would be different in different research groups.
