I couldn't make hydrogel using e-caprolactone liquid SOLUTION (sigma-aldrich).
i have mixed PCL with Dichloromethne under stirrer condition at room temperature. Then transferred the mix at -20 C for over night followed by thaw at room temperature.
But I couldn't make hydrogel using e-caprolactone
Pls suggest me suitable methods
You can. However, e-caprolactone is different polycaprolactone, . what kind of hydrogel do you want to create? chemical or physical interaction?
Is it not same. I want to prepare caprolactone hydrogel for wound heal applications.
PCL like many other polyesters very hydrophobic, so preparing of HYDROgel not easy task.
First, You may try to make a PCL sponge filled with real hydrogel.
Second, You may use a different types of PCl copolymers (for example with polyethyleneglycole).
Third, You may try to find a way to modify PCL surface ( plasma treatment will do).
