Ni mesh and Ni foam should be sonicated in acetone solution for 10 min, washed with distilled water, and then dried in an oven at 80 °C for 2 h to remove the excess water. then can perform the electrochemical characterization, CV, GCD, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), more details in the following references;
